Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Trent Doughty as Head of Private Wealth Management Australia and New Zealand.
Doughty joined Deutsche Bank in Singapore in 2007 and is relocating to Sydney where he will work closely with Chum Darvall, Chief Executive Officer, Australia and New Zealand to expand Deutsche Bank’s private wealth management business in Australia and New Zealand. In his new role, Doughty reports to Singapore-based Ravi Raju, Head of Private Wealth Management, Asia Pacific.
Darvall, said, “Deutsche Bank has a strong wealth management business in Australia and New Zealand and Trent’s appointment ensures that we will further utilise our global capabilities to meet our local clients’ needs.”
“Trent’s experience of working in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and most recently in Singapore makes him well suited to bring together both our offshore and onshore private wealth management products and platforms. He has a solid understanding of the industry and we are confident our clients will benefit from his extensive knowledge and insights,” he added.
Raju said, “Trent possesses the depth and experience to manage a successful PWM franchise in Australia and New Zealand. He will work closely with the existing team to expand our client base of entrepreneurs and wealthy families in these markets.”
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Doughty worked at Citigroup in Hong Kong and in Singapore where he was a director in the Investment Advisory business. Before moving to the wealth management sector, Doughty worked in treasury sales and trading with WestLB.
