Deutsche Bank has boosted its Prime Services presence in Australia and New Zealand, with Damien Jasczyk appointed Director and Head of Global Prime Finance Sales effective immediately.

Vic Jokovic, Head of Institutional Client Group Australia and New Zealand, said the new appointment reflected continued investment in prime services by Deutsche Bank globally.

“Our Australian based Prime Services team has now grown by five new hires over the last year, consolidating our strong position in prime brokerage, securities lending, direct market access and equity swaps.”

Head of Prime Services Australia and New Zealand, James Jennings, added “Damien brings nine years of industry experience to Deutsche Bank. Our clients will benefit from his knowledge and experience on both sides of the prime broker relationship – having joined us from Fulcrum Asset Management in London where he was COO, along with five years at Goldman Sachs’ prime brokerage unit in London.”

The Global Custodian 2006 Prime Brokerage Survey saw Deutsche Bank collect a full house of top ratings, and a staggering 75 Best in Class Awards. In Asia excluding Japan, Deutsche Bank ranked Best in Class in client service, operations, consulting, financing, reporting, cap introduction, technology and value.
