Deutsche Bank announces new structure of Real Estate Equities team

Deutsche Bank today announced the new generation Real Estate Equities Team, which combines a high profile hire and a number of promotions of existing senior and experienced staff from the ranks of the bank’s large real estate platform.

The Co-Heads of the Real Estate Equities Research unit is new joiner Matt Bertram and existing Director, Ian Randall. Reporting to Tim King, Head of Equity Research, Bertram and Randall will lead the team that includes Bhupen Master and Steve Rich and covers 26 listed Australian real estate stocks.

Bertram has 8 years experience in real estate research and comes to Deutsche Bank most recently from Merrill Lynch where he was a highly rated analyst.

“Adding an analyst of such high calibre as Matt, to an already successful real estate research team, will prove invaluable to our clients as we continue to expand and strengthen our Real Estate research capacity” said King The new Head of Real Estate Equity Sales is Troy Derwin, who is another long term team member of the successful real estate broking team, reporting to the Head of Global Markets Australia & New Zealand, Michael Ormaechea. Derwin heads the team that includes the highly experienced Rohan Congues and is responsible for the capital markets distribution capacity, both globally and locally.
