From today, Glenn Poswell is the key media contact for DB Absolute Return Strategies in the Asia Pacific. DB Absolute Return Strategies is the global hedge fund business of the Deutsche Bank Group, and the market leader in the Asia Pacific region.

Glenn Poswell now heads DB Absolute Return Strategies in the region, and is responsible for distribution, tailoring new global product for the local markets, and conducting regional manager due diligence.

The two products currently marketed in our region to retail and institutional investors are the Deutsche Strategic Value Fund (the first fund of fund hedge fund to be marketed to retail investors in Australia) and the Deutsche Global Equity Opportunities Fund (currently ranked the top performing international share fund by ASSIRT).

David Zobel, who previously headed up the business in the Asia Pacific, has commenced a secondment with the group’s New York office. David will play a key role in growing the global business, assuming responsibility as a senior manager of the global fund-of-funds business and heading up the fixed income strategy team. The move follows Mr Zobel's recent promotion to a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank, resulting from his success in establishing Deutsche Bank’s hedge fund business in the Asia Pacific region. Under his leadership, funds under management in Australia alone doubled last year.
