Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Michael Parsons as Managing Director and Head of Private Wealth Management, Deutsche Bank Australia. Parsons’ appointment is effective from 28 April and he will be based in Sydney reporting to Chum Darvall, Chief Executive Officer, Australia and New Zealand and Rico Caduff, Head of Private Wealth Management Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

“Michael brings a great depth of experience to an already strong team and his involvement in the continued development and refinement of our Private Wealth Management business is a significant development for our franchise,” said Chum Darvall.

Parsons was previously Chief Executive Officer of INVESCO from August 2000 until September 2002. Prior to that, he was with BT Financial Group for 16 years, where he acted in a number of senior roles including as the Head of BT’s Private Investment Division (1988 - 1998) and Institutional Asset Management Division (1998 - 2000).
