Deutsche Bank both globally and regionally has a longstanding commitment as a supporter of fine arts. In fact, Deutsche Bank’s own collection is the largest company art collection in the world comprising some 50,000 artworks housed in branches and subsidiaries across the globe. Deutsche Bank’s philosophy is that art, in all its forms, serves to enrich the lives of those in the communities in which we conduct business.
Echoing this sentiment, Deutsche Bank in Australia is delighted to have entered into a partnership with the Art Gallery of New South Wales and joint sponsor Qantas to bring PICASSO THE LAST DECADES to the people of Australia; an exhibition chronicling the last two decades of Picasso’s career.
Chum Darvall CEO Deutsche Bank Australia & New Zealand said “Arts and culture are important components of a well-rounded society. Our commitment to arts and culture is focused on providing support to a diversity of projects including those that use art in education. This is our major initiative for 2002 in support of a large public event.
“PICASSO THE LAST DECADES is going to be one of Australia’s most exciting exhibitions of the year. Deutsche Bank is proud to jointly sponsor this exhibition with Qantas in support of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.”
